Common-Core State Tests: The Contemporary Cure-All!

Now that Spring has sprung, so, too, has a new battery of Common-Core aligned standardized tests in New York State.  Ironically, at the elementary-school level, the ELA tests begin on April Fool's Day and then continue on the 2nd and 3rd.  Math begins on April 30th and continues on the 1st and 2nd of May.  It is no wonder that students are stuffed with tests given that, for some, they are cure-alls for society's ills!
